Saturday, October 19th, 2024, was the 2nd Annual Pride Celebration (Pride Festival) by ProudTown, Inc. This was our first time setting up a booth at an event. The weather was absolutely amazing, sun was shining and a beautiful breeze to go along with it. I was an absolute nervous wreck, but excited too. I had no idea what I would say to people or how we would be received. I should’ve known better than to be nervous, because the LGBTQIA+ community is always so welcoming and supportive.
I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to be a part of this event. We handed out a bunch of business cards, stickers, and flags. We met a lot of amazing people that really seemed like they liked our blog and our message. I thoroughly enjoyed talking to every one of you that stopped by. If you did come by, leave a comment about the festival.

The Winchester Pride Festival is just now getting started, ProudTown is doing an amazing job putting this together for us. ProudTown, Inc is a LGBTQ+ non-profit organization that is based in Winchester, KY. They want to provide a safe place for everyone to be themselves and be accepted. Be sure to check them out and follow them, they have done several events. I want to thank Andi Stephenson and Tiff Hays for doing such an amazing job. I am already looking forward to next year.
Don’t forget to leave a comment or share something you enjoyed at the festival. Also be sure to keep an eye on our event page, I post events that are scheduled around the area for anyone that is interested. Till next year…
