We are down to the last two days of being able to cast our vote. I have already voted, so now I am just watching and waiting to see what happens. Like I said in my post yesterday about Project 2025, this is the first time that I have really been scared and worried about an election. I have done my part, now it’s your turn, if you haven’t voted already.
Last week when I went to go vote, the line was backed up out of the courthouse, down the front stairs and all the way to the street. I was shocked, I have never seen so many people voting and definitely never seen it early like this. The next day when I was driving by the courthouse, the lines were even longer, I actually got emotional. Leighanne was in the car with me, neither of us have seen a turn out this significant. I live in a smaller community in Winchester, KY and seeing this kind of response is amazing. Every day that I drive by the lines are longer and longer.
I told Leighanne yesterday, that even if the election doesn’t go the way that I would like for it too, I can’t even be mad because people are showing up. I am so proud of my little town, recognizing the significance of this election and getting out there and voting. It’s amazing watching this unfold.
Now we wait and see what happens… I am not a very patient person, so this is the part that is killing me. I hope we get this one right, there is so much riding on this election. I am not sure what will happen, but I know one thing is for sure, that no matter what the outcome, we will need all the love and light we have to give.
In closing, if you have not gone to vote yet, get off your butt and vote. This is your right, go do it. If you chose not to, don’t complain about anything. Till next time, lead with love and light.
